The society and culture in Pennsylvania was very diverse. Even though Quakers held most of the influence in Pennsylvania, there was religious freedom which brought Quakers, Christians, Protestants, and Jews, and people from Wales, Germany, Holland, and France. This lead to a very mixed culture. In Pennsylvania, most people stayed with people from their original countries, trying to preserve their own manners and ways of life. In the colony, you could find nice institutions and schools, the first hospital, library, and insurance company. Arts and sciences flourished in Pennsylvania and so did law and medicine. The people of Pennsylvania may of had very different cultures and religions, but they created many important things.
