Pennsylvania was a very wealthy colony and was referred to as a breadbasket colony because it grew plenty of crops such as wheat, rye, hemp, flax, and corn. Many of crops were shipped to England increasing their wealth. Industries and factories were very important in Pennsylvania and made lots of home materials and shipbuilding parts. PA also had plenty of successful printing and publishing businesses and gunsmiths. The Pennsylvania Colony was very wealthy and had a great economy.
