Pennsylvania had a very unique geography. In PA you could find mountains and hilly areas, or coastal plains and plateau areas near Lake Erie. There was also very fertile soil and large fields which were great for farming. Pennsylvania's geography could be mountainous but many areas where flat enough for farming. The geography was a very important factor for Pennsylvania.
